Yesterday was a draggy day. Labor Day. A 3 day weekend has a lot to be desired, unless an invitation from my family was forthcoming. It was not.
My arthritis was killing me. I tried my best at acceptance. The time did pass.
One joy was talking to my friend in Pittsburgh whom I haven’t contactd for over a week. She is fine. One of our mutual friends in our church is dying from lung cancer. She is a long time, beloved member. This is not a surprise just a sadness. My friend and I always compare body notes, since we are both the same age and declining.
Three good things about today. I am less sore, always a mystery. And had a call for a head replacement on my lawn sprinkler irrigation system. My neighbor offered to do it but backed away when he saw the large tree roots surrounding it. The professional that came was only 20, but knew what t do. He recognized what sprinkler head was needed so did not need to dig. He also changed the batteries in my water sensor and gave me some instructions. It’ll probably be expensive, but in this case, worth it.
Also, my son is coming for supper. His family is in VA. He will install an optical cable between my TV and receiver, hoping to correct some sound problems. I am looking forward to his visit.
