I had a good night’s sleep, was feeling good and looked forward to my 30 minute walk early, at 9:30 AM, before the heat.

After breakfast I wanted to figure out why I was not informed of my Bank of America (BofA) balances, which were past due. That must have been why my card was declined at my last two purchases. I called Customer Service to find out my July balance was overdue, so they shut down my card. I could not even log in to pay it. The person I talked to said I needed to re-set my alerts. Half an hour later, when I tried to it didn’t work, probably because my card was shut down. Frustration!

It is true I forgot to pay my May bill because of my trip from CO to MD. BofA didn’t inform me of what would happen. So I never received an alert for my June bill. I paid my June bill by telephone using my checking account. I’ll have to re-set my alerts in a couple of days. What a nightmare! My Customer Agent did take the extra charges ($48) off my June bill. I also set my Iphone to remind me to check my credit cards on the 5th of the month.

Sorry to bore you with these details. It is a reminder of how careful we older adults need to be with our cards and money;.
