The previous day tired me out so much that I slept 11 hours. I forced myself to go to the gym and was glad I did. The activity made me feel a little better.
I wrote a Happy New Year card and letter to my cousin in Poland and her family, also to some Italian friends. Last time in the post office I bought extra global stamps to make things easy.
Had lunch and a lay-down, followed by getting small tasks done. Talked to my Denver daughter-in-law’s mother, catching up on the holidays, always fun. The activity was knitting socks, not easy. No one finished a pair.
Sunday. I zoomed 3 churches, all had good messages and, for some reason, the music was especially comforting to me. Essentric exercises followed.
My Pittsburgh friend called and we caught up with holiday activities. She has hair trigger finger surgery soon (common problem that I haven’t hit yet). I caught the 2nd half of Eagles football game (disappointing).
After my usual activities and dinner, I watched the first half of the Steelers – Ravens football game, closely matched teams. I went to bed at half time.
Monday. Slept well. I learned the Steelers won by 2 points in a crazy 4th quarter. (glad for that). Cool cloudy morning. My exercise was walking to the airport. Lots of little birds flitting about.
After lunch and a lay-down, I tackled the process of passport renewal. Mine expires in February. I am not planning a foreign trip, but feel it is a good form of ID to have. The on-line application was not working right (did not accept some fields), so I contacted their on-line support. I can tell this will be a drawn-out process. Then I realized I was not on the official government site. So I went there to fill out my DS-82 form. Worked well. I’ll get a photo taken at Staples tomorrow.
Started a new series on Netflix ‘The Diplomat’, pretty good.
