Slept OK. My humidifier was making a clicking noise that kept me awake. Finally I decided to fix it. After dumping all the water and examining it, I found the scented oil tray was loose. I made sure it was tight. Refilled the water. Quiet humidifier. I had a tired day from that and having…

Wednesday morning was the worst. I had terrible anal pressure to defecate, but nothing would exit. On top of that I had a call into maintenance to fix the poor flushing of my toilet — I was afraid he would come at an inconvenient time. I spent 2 hours walking my apartment, exercising, then I…

Slept well. I spent 1.5 hours replying to emails and signing petitions. It is exhausting. But I think this all I can do to counter Trump’s authoritarianism. Did Essentric exercises. I feel these done every two days help me move better, though not for long. Watched a webinar on the ‘AI Bubble’ given by the…

Good sleep. A lovely sunny blue sky morning. I walked to Bluff Lake with my binocs. There was an outdoor nursery school class filled with squealing kids. They love being outdoors so much. I spotted one new thing walking the trail. There were several small wooden boxes, shoulder height, filled with horizontal straws. I asked…

Thursday morning. Cloudy day. No rain for 28 days. May be rain this afternoon. I did my Essentrics exercises. My arthritis hurt, probably because of the weather downturn. My daughter-in-law’s mother and I went to Little India for lunch. They have half price lunch for November and December. II always enjoy our conversations. Afterwards we…

Sunday. 2 churches to stream. 2 were on at the same time, so I had to decide. Neither sermon was good. The Pittsburgh minister focused on the untruth of the original Thanksgiving story (friendly celebration by Pilgrims and Indians) and how to handle the family dinner (assumed it would be negative). The Denver minister read…

Slept well. Showered. Over my shake, spent a big time waste trying to pay my MD water bill on their website. So I paid it by phone. Went through my hundred emails, then blogged. After lunch and a lay-down, I cleared my counters for my cleaning people who were coming in the afternoon. I left…

Winter has arrived here. 19 degrees this morning. I let the water drip in my tub, as requested by our management. Late morning I walked to the Rec center, well bundled up. When dressed properly, I feel the cool invigorating. The Rec center, having been closed for 2 days, was crowded. Luckily I never have…

Slept well, After breakfast walked to the Rec center. I get a kick out of how they survey things — long clear plastic tubes into which people place colored ping pong balls. This time it was favorite Christmas movie. ‘Home Alone’ is winning , ‘Grinch’ a close second. My next door neighbor called and asked…

Slept well. Walked to the Rec center. I packed a swim suit in case I wanted to swim, but over all these weeks, could not bring myself to go into the pool. I used to love swimming, but maybe I am past that activity, too. After lunch and a lay-down, I made a good attempt…
